Tumbaweeds Theme Swaps

Funny how everything hits you all at once. You are just moving slowly along and then lift comes and pow hits you in the belly.

I have been busy sewing my thems swaps and as there are so many I will just upload photos

Tumbaweeds Embroidery Swap

It sure looks like I haven't been doing any work lately. Unfortunately I got some poor health results so have been busy with doctors but there is always time in the waiting room to do some hand sewing. I am doing my very first embroidery swap. My own swap is Japanese Girls. I just love these Girls and as each one will be done in a different colour I think the whole quilt will look wonderful when it comes home. As Purple was my favourite colour I used that.

My girlfriend did my second block in A lovely Azure Blue. I bought these patterns thinking they were hand embroidery patterns but they were sent to me as Machine Embroidery Files so I learnt a good lesson there....lol

QNF Sunshine Blocks

A friend sent me some beautiful fabric this week and I wanted to send her a thank you in return so I searched and searched and found my old sunshine blocks. I looked through them and found a set I had forgotten about so I joined them together and made a small table cloth. I was very excited about the finished results. No I have to make another as I really want to keep this one myself.

Tumbaweeds Round Robin

This is Betty's round robin I did before I did Stephanie's... it is out of order but that doesn't matter. I am glad to say this month they all go home. I will be posting Stephanie's on Thursday

More Theme blocks

So as you can see I have been very busy making blocks...

Tumbaweeds Theme swaps

Our group has come along in leaps and bounds. We have 40 members now and so many swaps going it is a little hard to keep up with them.. I feel as owner I need to join in on all of them to see the work coming through. So here are the blocks I have done since my last posting.

Tumbaweeds Row x Row

I have been busy doing my row x row flowers.. never again will I applique in a row x row. I don't wear a thimble so my fingers have holes in them and why does the needle always find that sore spot.

I finished Mellie's Irises and Rayleen's Pansies. I am now busy working on Ann's Tulips and Irises.

Mellie's Rows are Trees. She used Hand Dyed Fabric... really nice.

Rayleen's Rows are Houses. She has used mainly Greens and Browns.

I really love how these rows grow as you add more rows to them.
